I need some help finding programming sites...?

I've been programming in Turbo C++ 3.0 for a while now and I'm looking for a site / some sites with algorithms, explained and with some examples. Since almost every time I look over some programs I've written I realize that there are a few ways to make it more efficient, I taught it would be a good idea to look up some basic algorithms in order to make my life easier but I hadn't had much luck. So please recommend me some sites where i can find some basic algorithms (like bubble sort or quick sort...). And by the way, if there are any examples, it would be best if they are written using , not .
