Why are some people always in attack mode?

Sometimes people use the internet as a way to vent their frustrations. They don't have to ever be face to face with the person, so they figure why not?! Sometimes people do care and want to tell others things sincerely, but others don't want to read it either. Sometimes people just want to know what they want to know and don't want to hear or read anything else.
