Will laser surgery cause me skin cancer in da future?

so i have dese stretch marks and birth marks nd i wana get rid of dem using laser surgery......my skin colour is light brown......i've talked to some dermatologists here in bangladesh....dey say dere wont b ne side-effects.........bt still i'm still kinda worried
