How to get hot water from thawing pipes?

My pipes in my two story house have been frozen for 3 days now and unclogged today i guess due to my heater being on 24/7. the faucets shoot water out at odd angles pretty strong but normal flow has yet to return which is fine but when should i expect to get a hot water flow of how to get a hot water flow is what im asking. i currently have all the faucets running at cold because someone told me let them run on cold a while to clear pipes.. it has now been about 7 hours and no sign of warm water
