Help with a reactivity question.?

Please be careful when you demonstrate the reactivity of K with water. Use safety gles and stand far from the experiment set up. K is very reactive, and when it comes in contact with water, it usually lits up in flames..so thats the reason why K is stored in kerosene..Happy experimenting :)
